Summary The Guyagrofor Project "Development of Sustainable Agroforestry Systems based on Indigenous and Maroon knowledge in the Guyana Shield Region" aims to develop new strategies for the production of environmental safe and economic viable cash crops, timber and non timber forest products based on Indigenous and Maroon livelihood strategies. The project is divided into six work packages , each with its own set of objectives contributing towards the overall aim, namely to develop guidelines for practicing sustainable agroforestry systems and strengthening of local organizations and institutions.
