Macha visitUniversity of Zambia and Southern Africa Telecentre Network Team established collaborative ICT linkages with MachaWorks and participated in a live European ICT agenda on Thursday March 18th 2010. Five officials from University of Zambia, Schools of Engineering, Computer Science and Humanities and Social Studies, and Southern Africa Telecentre Network undertook a trip to Macha in Choma district of Southern province. Macha is located approximately 80 km northwest of Choma town. The trip was undertaken as a result of an invitation from Mr Gertjan van Stam, the Executive Director of Linknet and the Team Leader of Macha Works.

Chinyunyu Multipupose TelecentreThe Southern Africa Telecentre Network team with a Zambia Daily Mail (local government newspaper) journalist made a field visit to Chinyuyu Multipurpose Telecentre to observe and highlight some of the challenges and successes of the telecenter 18 months after the Lusaka workshop. The visit was conducted under a joint deliberate programme for SATNET and Zambia Telecentre Network to document existing practices and challenges to increases knowledge sharing and information exchange among telecentres in southern Africa.
