Resources and How to contribute

 

TelecentresAfrica has brought information together in a number of 'Resources':

Repository The TelecentresAfrica Knowledge Base contains a large number of publications and web resources on telecentres, ICT4D, mobile phones and rural radio next to organizations, networks and people involved in telecentres activities and projects in Africa and other regions.
Repository Telecentres in Africa can be added  by Community members to a Telecentre Map with additional information, videos and and web links 
Videos

More than 150 videos are brought together at the TelecentresAfrica website, where they also can be viewed. Members are able to submit new videos of their  own activities or new developments on telecentres, ICT4D, mobile phones, community radio.

Videos

Pictures of telecentres and ICT4 activities in Africa can be uploaded by  Community members to the Community space.

Web links

Community members can submit web links of their own organization or other interesting web resources. In addition links to all CTA Portals are given with a short description of the web resources.

CTA portals

In the TelecentresAfrica Workspace (Blog) key topics will be discussed (see Key Topics list and introductions of the topics).

Other news can be added by Community members in the Category News, while activities implemented within the TelecentresAfrica Initiative have their own blogs (see under Activities).

 

 

How to contribute to 'Resources'

Community members of TelecentresAfrica (registration here) can share information on their telecentre and ICT4D activities by contributing to different TelecentresAfrica blogs and Resources:

1.     Adding content to the TelecentresAfrica website

  • News to the TelecentresAfrica 'Workspace' and comments to articles and activities of others. 
  • Discussions on key topics on the the TelecentresAfrica Workspace
  • Web links of interesting sites and web resources to 'Links'
  • Submit links to videos in the TelecentresAfrica "Video Gallery'
  • Pictures of telecentre and ICT4D activities to the TelecentresAfrica 'Community'.

 

2.    Adding information to the TelecentresAfrica Repository

The TelecentresAfrica Repository is an open-access shared repository with decentralized access to add and update own information in the repository. Registered users of the TelecentresAfrica website can request a login to enter their own information on telecentre or organization, publications, own personal profile, and projects and good practices/solutions. Instructions on how to add /update information are available in an online manual.
