Purpose
Access to information and communication technologies and local content are promoted to rural communities of Rwanda.

Beneficiaries
Direct beneficiaries: ICT access points located in remote areas regardless of the business model and ownership (e.g. Government, Community and Private owned Telecentres).
Indirect beneficiaries:  Rural communities, ICT4D stakeholders at National and International level and the government of Rwanda.

Expected results
R1.     200 ICT access point are identified, their need analysed and a framework of action formulated.
R2.     Web portal for facilitating knowledge sharing and local content is developed
R3.     National Telecentre workshop organised

0.   Overall objective

The overall objective of this project is to contribute positively to the improvement of livelihood and overall food security for rural communities in Rwanda.

 

1.   Purpose

Access to information and communication technologies and local content are promoted to rural communities of Rwanda.

 

2.   Beneficiaries

The ultimate beneficiaries of whatever Rwanda Telecentres Network will be doing are individuals Telecentres.

Indirect beneficiaries: The Indirect beneficiaries are rural communities, ICT4D stakeholders at National and International level and the government of Rwanda.
