Overall objectives

The overall objective of this project is to contribute to improving food security and rural livelihoods in Africa through sustainable rural service delivery infrastructure.

  • Purpose

    • Rural service delivery network deployed and implemented across Zambia.

    Expected results

    • The level of the current services continued and maintained.
    • Service level agreements and funding secured with multiple key player (government ministries, other public and private sectors) for the national roll-out of a rural service delivery network
    • Information on the project shared on various media (including TelecentresAfrica portal)

  • Beneficiaries

  • Indirect beneficiaries:  Government bodies (Communications Authority of Zambia; Ministry of Agriculture; Ministry of Health ;Ministry of Education; Department of Social & Economic Development); Market research organisations; ISP’s;  Banks; NGO’s

    • Direct beneficiaries: All rural communities and individuals; Farmers Unions and Cooperatives; Agricultural produce/product distributors/traders;
