On January 1, 2012 Koda Traoré, the programme manager of TelecentresAfrica suddenly passed away, leaving a wife and two children.
Koda was a much appreciated and highly motivated colleague with a mission to improve the lives of the people in Africa. Since the start of the programme in 2008 TelecentresAfrica expanded through his efforts and has now a range of activities in Africa focusing on ICT-based rural service delivery including mobile solutions and community radio.
All partners that worked with him in the TelecentresAfrica programme will remember his optimism on African development and commitment to support local communities in Africa, his vision, expertise and knowledge on ICT for development and his focus on capacity building, and information and knowledge sharing. We lost a great colleague and our thoughts are with his wife and children.

TelecentresAfrica set up a Discussion Group at LinkedIn in March 2011. Now in July our Group has more than 120 members and is still expanding. We have an active additional discussion Platform on ICT based rural community service delivery next to the Community at our TelecentresAfrica Portal.
We will announce at the LinkedIn Discussion Group activities, new resources, blogs and articles submitted at our Community and Workspace of the website.
At the same time we will summarize and share the LinkedIn Group discussions at our TelecentresAfrica Portal’
