Summary In order to integrate ICT for teaching, learning as well as for education management, the ICT Steering Committee of the Zambian Ministry of Education has been appointed to develop an ICT policy for education, considering the National ICT policy and other Governmental
policies and strategies.
In collaboration with IICD, the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and various stakeholders, the committee has developed a draft policy. The draft policy document focuses on the vision, goals, challenges, and implementation issues while considering ICTs in schools, teacher training, content development, distance education, financing of ICT in education, and administrative and support services.
